For many tourists who don’t have much time (or willpower) to go around the city, explore and discover shops to buy souvenirs from, Naha Main Place is a godsend. Though prices may be a little bit on the steeper end of this mid-range mall, many people, tourists and locals alike, still prefer to go here than any other mall / shopping spot as Naha Main Place mainly because Naha Main Place has almost everything, making it more convenient for shoppers to find what they need. Here are seven things about Naha Main Place that might be of interest to you.

Most shops inside the Naha Main Place shopping mall allow foreigners to shop tax-free which is perfect for those who intend to bring home a little bit of Okinawa with them but feel restricted because of tax / duties. Most shops will have a sign on their window / display stating that they offer tax-free shopping but, in case you see something you like at a shop that doesn’t have the sign, it’s always better to ask first.

3. Hard-t0-Find Items

Thanks to the internet and social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, we are finding out about more and more unique products that are unique to certain countries. In Japan, for example, matcha-flavored Kitkats, Sakura Pepsi, white strawberries, square watermelons, mini pineapples smaller than your fist are all the rage, especially among foreigners visiting the country. These products can be hard to come by but, if you’re lucky and you’re in Naha, you might just find them at the Naha Main Place supermarket.
