1. CASA PACA

This place is both a restaurant as well as a Tapas Bar. If you don’t want to stand, you may opt for the seated dining from the A La Carte Menu, which is a bit expensive though. They have got a great variety of food items in their menu, and the quality is amazing as well.

Must Try: “Sole Mio” which is only available after 8PM. Also, one of the best Tapas in town.

Located just 5 minutes away from the Plaza Mayor, it offers private dining options too for celebrations/events. It is probably the best place to eat out in Salamanca. Croquettes, Bacalau and a bottle of assorted white wine, Ahhh!! what better can one ask for the lunch. They specialize in their wide variety of codfish dishes served in really creative ways. They have been offering a variety of meats, put along with delicious gravies and chutneys. The service is polite and prompt, despite of only two people to attend for the crowd. The prices ranges from 2 to 3.5 EUR per course. Absolutely delicious! You’ll be served with the best of the wines that will make you fall in love with the place. Prior reservation is recommended as it is one of the hot shots of the town.

4. LA HOJA 21

Established in 1998, it is one of the premier league restaurant in the country. Best known for fine dining, includes a wide list of specialized items and has a seating capacity for 80 people. The dessert from the house is amazingly good and tops the chart. The service is impeccable and surprisingly fast.

If you are fed up of the mundane city choirs and you wish to enjoy your evening, sitting in some cozy little place and talking about life, this sure is the place to be. It is located by the church of San Esteban. Go there to enjoy a relaxed eat-out. But beware! you’ll meet there one of the most friendly staffs you’ll ever encounter in a restaurant – always ready to explain and help you out with making the choices. Wine starts at €2.50 per glass.

Tip: Go early, around 21:00, as it gets really stuffed later.

Small place, with 7-8 tables at max, a perfect place for a romantic date. Located in Plaza de Libertab, just a short distance from Plaza Mayor; a reasonable price and friendly staff makes it even better. Prior reservation is recommended if you want to savor their famous apple crumble and get down with the local Ribera Wine. The food is exceptionally well cooked and even better served.
