Agadir is a famous city of Morocco which was earlier ruined in an earthquake but later renewed and now  it is known as the most modern city which has some sense of its past. The city is located at the right off Atlantic ocean and it has everything for tourists coming to visit the city like historical landmarks, good food and many places to chill out. Kasbah is the oldest district of Agadir and the place was developed in early 1541. However, after the earthquake, it was not leveled and remain same. This place was once known as the home to thousands of people but a day it is only used for hiking and two main reasons of hiking Kasbah are that it very well represent Arabic architecture and the view at its peak is just mind blowing.

2. Relax your mind and soul in a Hammam

Hammam has a very important place in Morocco culture and it is a place where people from different backgrounds enjoy bathing along with socializing with each other. So, if you are in the city of Agadir to spend holidays you must visit a hammam to have an unforgettable experience. The most famous hammam of Agadir is located in Argan Palace where you are treated like very royal and pampered.

Agadir is very popular for its sand-filled beach and the weather and winds at this beach are very inviting and tranquil. The beach is very clean, calm and well maintained by the local community. There is provision of the patrols who are there to save lives of people during peak season. Other attractions include palm lined promenade and you can also enjoy surfboarding, jet-skiing and other water sports at this beach.

4. Visit the historical Museum of Memoire d’Agadir

There is a historical museum in Agadir known as Memoir d’ Agadir which is equipped with beautiful photographs and newspapers that show the history of the city and these mainly focus on the earthquake of 1960. The museum is located in a peaceful garden which is filled all over with palm trees and cactus plants. The national park in Agadir known as Souss Massa national park is located in the south part of the district and the park witness 33,000 hectares of wetlands which have sand dunes like Sahara desert. The main point of attraction of the park is Oued Massa river where exotic birds from all over the world like Northern bald Ibis came to breed and live. You can enjoy the facilities of a guide and tours and also visit villages nearby this park.

6. Have fun and picnic in the Vallee des Oiseaux

The Vallee des Oiseaux is a beautiful park in situated in the center of city and entry to  the park is free of cost. This park is a good place for spending time with family and having a picnic. There is a playground for children and different birds and animals are enclosed here like parrots, flamingos, deer and kangaroo etc. There are many cafes and restaurants outside the park where you can have food and drinks of your choice.

7. Have a day filled with sports

For the sports lovers, there are three golf courses in Agadir named as The Royals, The Soleil and Dunes. However, the Dunes is not open to non-residents. The royal club is located in the center of the town and is most visited by tourists coming to Agadir. There is also a club in the town for horse riding which is Royal Equestrian Club .

The market is fairly organized and you can shop for many kinds of gift items and souvenirs for your loved ones from here.

10. Go for an Excursion from Agadir

You can go from excursions to different places nearby Agadir and these excursions are offered by various touring agencies. They offer sea fishing expeditions and boat trips from Agadir to the countryside and outside the town. You can also enjoy an excursion to Atlas mountains in a four wheeler. You can also visit La Grande Roue Agadir which is a Ferris wheel located near the main Agadir Beach. These excursions are also provided by many good hotels in Agadir.
