This 17th-century custom house in the center of Puerte de la Cruz is a souvenir paradise with an extensive collection of quality crafts, including handmade fans, children toys, finely crafted ceramics, etc. Founded in 1620 by the Franchy family, this traditional building now hosts cultural exhibitions and houses a significant collection of customary goods from Tenerife.

3. El Guajiro
Old-school, family-owned stores and restaurants swamp this busy market street, which dates back from the early 1900’s. This cozy little shop sells locally made cigars, and souvenirs from the islands to take back home as memories.

4. Yumbo Centrum
Shop at over 200 shops, grab a drink at the mystique bars, taste some delicious meals at the many restaurants, or just appreciate the beautiful architecture – there are plenty of things to do at the grand Yumbo Shopping Centre. This shopping center is built in a giant hole in the ground, packed with a glorified indoor market which sells literally everything.

5. Teguise Market
The Island’s oldest and biggest open-air street market is a great way to test your bargaining skills on a Sunday morning. The town itself has its own unique charm, and the buildings here go all the way back to the 17th-century and the traces of the past can be found at the buildings in beautiful stone and wooden carvings around the doors and windows. The cobbled streets host all kinds of stalls selling traditional goods, clothes, shoes, arts and crafts, paintings and much more.

6. Encuentro
Encuentro is one of the top shopping streets in the Canary Islands, and undoubtedly the island’s top women fashion label with an emphasis on both formal and informal designs. The collection is vast and sassy that inherits natural fabrics. The sales go all-year-round, so nothing stocks for long here.

7. Centro Comercial Las Arenas
All the big and reputed brands can be found here, along with some cheap shops with an extensively large collection of clothes, especially for children. The large shopping mall is also home to a McDonald’s fast food outlet and a large supermarket Carrefour. It also houses a big cinema with 6 screens, a children’s play area and an outdoor terrace for wonderful views of the outskirts.
