Campinas is a municipality in Brazil, in the state of Sao Paulo. The population of the city is 1,164,098 as of 2015 making it the 14th most populous city in Brazil. The total area of Campinas is 795.667 kilometers squared in the municipality and 3,645 kilometers squared in the metro area.

There are a lot of magnificent churches in Campinas that you should really visit. Most of them are very ancient and has really good stories behind the mesmerising architecture. Bosque dos Jequitibas is a park with a museum and a zoo. It is a really great place to walk around and have fun with the kids. The park is just located near downtown and there are a lot of bus lines and taxis that would go to this park so transportation is not a problem. It is also a great way to get away from the busy city.

Observatorio de Capricornio is a good place to visit in a starry evening as you will be able to see the milky way. It is a very remarkable experience that you will surely love. There are also wonderful landscapes along the road. Observatorio de Capricornio is also a nice place for a bike ride or just walking around.
