Agadir is a city in Morroco in the region of Souss-Massa near the foot of the Atlas Mountains. The population of Agadir as of 2012 is 600,000 which ranks the 8th most populous in Morocco.

1. Walk around Seafront promenade

Seafront promenade is a park with an overview of the ocean. It is a great place  just to relax, read a book or hike around. Many of the tourists love to visit this park as well as the locals. The ocean breeze is so calming and the promenade is very lively during the night as well especially during the month of August because it is school holidays.

Another fun way of enjoying Agadir is to visit the best beaches around and one of them is the Agadir Beach. This beach is best for surfing as well. Get away from the city and enjoy the relaxing ambiance of this beach.

3. Buy something at Souk El Had d’Agadir

Souk El Had d’Agadir is a huge market where you can buy almost anything from foods, clothing, local products and so much more. The market can be very crowded sometimes, though.

One of the best beaches in Agadir is Taghazout Beach. This beach has a very fine sand and a great place to sunbathe too. It is also a great place  just to walk around seeing argan trees on the mountains and having lunch at golf course too since it is not too far away from the beach. There are a lot of surfers in the summer time here.

5. Marina D’agadir

Stroll around Marina D’agadir to find cafe’s and bakeries around. There are very modest boats with a nice view over the Agadir hill. This is surely a great place for a hike and at the same time exploring the wonders of Agadir. There are also branded stores in the Marina. This is a great place for a light meal or something sweet to eat.

Agadir Kasbah is a historic architecture with lots of good histories in the place. The place is free to visit and you will also be able to have a 360 view of Agadir in here. There are a few ruins but you have to learn to say “no” to a lot of salesmen that can sometimes be too pushy.

A great way to end the long and tiring day of exploring Agadir is to try their best spa’s in town. The spa’s in Agadir are pretty famous for its unique ambiance and amazing services. Agadir Oufella Ruins offers an amazing and breathtaking view from the top. Be warned that as you walk to the top you might encounter some stray dogs but don’t forget to bring your camera to capture the amazing views. You can even take a photo with a camel or snake but you will have to pay for it, though.

Memoire d’Agadir is an interesting place to stroll around especially the gardens or the park. The kids will surely love this place. If you want to hike up to the building you will need to pay $20USD but it will all be worth it anyways because of the stuff that you will see and learn.

La Grande Roue Agadir is a Ferris wheel located near the beach. Riding the Ferris wheel will enable you to get a good view of the beach and the surrounding areas. It is best to ride the Ferris wheel at night as you will see the city just light up. Plus, the Ferris wheel spins a bit quickly but with many rounds.
