The management of the aquarium also arrange public programs every month in the aquarium which are beneficial for people of all ages from children to older. The main events of public program are Whale watching, presentations of discoveries related to oceans so as to make people aware about the environment and Researches related to Scripps Institution.

One can see variety of Sharks which includes tropical reefs, Swell nurse, leopard Sharks, Whitetip Reef, Blacktip reef, Wobbegongs and many more. All the sharks are put in kelp forests tank. The sharks are most complex creature for humans and there exists near about 370 species of sharks in the world. You can also find some of the sharks which are rarely found in other Aquarium.

The tide pool plaza is located in the outer area of Birch Aquarium and is the best place to see the animals living in their natural habitat. The naturalists in the Aquarium provide information to people about the unique features of marine Life and touch tide pool animals. The location of pool is in rocky basins and living of animals which are surviving in different temperatures, moisture and Salinity make it very attractive place.

6 Coral Reefs in the Aquarium

The Corals are found in water where there is a temperature of 70-86 degrees and the birch aquarium has raised its own reefs which are very tender and intensive work. Coral reefs are living and they need sunlight and clean water to grow. There is found a vast variety of corals named Red tree Sponge, Maze Coral, Great Star Coral. Thus the living Corals display of Aquarium makes it a must-watch place.

7 Family Days Program

You can also become a part of the Family days program which provides something new for the people of all ages and it brings together Earth and Ocean sciences with Art and Literacy themes. There also took place Art work, Crafts, demonstrations and interactions with the people with researchers of Scripps Institution. This event has free admission on every third Saturday of Month from 11:00 A.M. to 3 P.M.
