Domestic terminal has four gates which are gate number 2,3,5 and number 6. Kern County Air Terminal which is an international terminal is closed for now. 8. Airlines and Destination

There are very few airlines which operate at Bakersfield Airport. Only domestic airlines are carrying operations here and the international airline which used to operate from Kern County Air Terminal is closed because the Mexicana which was the only carrier ended its operations at Bakersfield Airport. Now at Bakersfield Airport, American Eagle operates flights to and from Phoenix while United Express operated for Denver, Houston and San Francisco. Cargo services are catered by Ameriflight which operates for Ontario.

9. Bakersfield Airport Domestic Terminal Information

The domestic terminal of the airport connect few cities which are Denver, San Francisco, Phoenix, and Houston. This is the only terminal of the airport that serves the flights to other cities since the international terminal is closed. It also has a gift shop and a restaurant which is named as Blimpie. From the first week of April 2016, service to Houston by United Express will be stopped.

Previously there was a motel located at the International Terminal of the airport but since it is closed now, it also have shut down its operations. There are numerous hotels located nearby the Airport which offers good facilities and services. Some of the best are Hampton Inn and Suites Bakersfield, Sleep Inn And Suites, Motel 6 Bakersfield Airport, Studio 6 Bakersfield and many others.

You can’t travel to international destinations directly from Bakersfield Airport since only a limited domestic flights are operated for now at Bakersfield Airport. But you can travel to San Francisco from Bakersfield, from where you can have numerous options of travelling internationally.
