Santa Clara, a beautiful city, found 45 miles southeast of San Francisco, is well known for its historical superiority. Being one of the oldest towns in the Silicon Valley, many of the finest California’s treasures such as Mission City Ballroom and Levi’s Stadium are found here. 1. Pro Football Hall of Fame Gridiron Glory Exhibit

Gridiron Glory is showing gratitude to America’s Football Legends-Pro Football. Exciting tales of the Game’s Prominent Players and incidences of play brings forth into people’s minds words of dedication courage vision and even instills a sense of belonging. Thousands of priceless artifacts from the Pro Football Hall of Fame are brought for exhibition during this massive event. Some handiwork and hands-on experiences are even displayed for the first time.

The Exhibition highlights constitute the Pioneers, Great Moments, Great Players, of course, the Dynasties, Pro Football’s Road to Equality, The Science of Football and finally Champions. Interactive elements such as Measure Up to the Pros are an attached package during this event.

2. Super Community Celebration

If you want your name to appear in the modern news prints and even publications that are going to be read even centuries to come, only make an effort to attend this marvelous event. Whether are still a teenager or in your late 60’s, it doesn’t matter. As long as you are a fan, the City of Santa Clara welcomes you. For this particular event, age is just, but a number.

Super Community Celebration incorporates various enjoyable activities and noteworthy experiences. The Celebrity Sweat Game for instance where all the big names from the entertainment and sports industry indulge in a 10-by-10 flag football game. Live performances from local bands and other well-established music bands, exclusive interviews with former Super Bowl Champs like Ricky waters as well as the signing of autographs are a common feature during the Pep Rally and Player Signing activity.

3. The 22nd Annual Spring Garden Market

Who would want to miss this one? A breathtaking annual Spring Garden Market by Master Gardeners? Nobody.

The organizers of this event are the friends of Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County where they make their premier plant sale, feasible gardening promos/demos, and vendor fair. The beauty of this affiliate event is that it’s a free for all event, and no one has to spend a coin.

4. Annual Northern California Pirate Festival

We maybe pirate, but we are not that bad. That’s what’s the pirates of this pleasurable saga usually say. This event is the very first and also is one its kind in the entire San Fransisco Bay Area. If you want to take part in amusing piratical devilry, make it a ‘must-attend’ business for you to the 10th Anniversary of the Northern California Pirate Festival.

NorCal Pirate Fest LLC regularly produces this congenial shenanigans occasion. In case you are planning on going to the event via private means, fret not. A lot of free street parking is available. Note, however, no pets are allowed during this event.

5. Silicon Valley Bikes Festival

This event has garnered so much reputation simply because it’s a multi-cooperation activity. History San Jose, the Mineta Transportation Institute, and Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition Santa Clara Valley Brewing are the organizations that make this event a success.

This is usually a day for sheer cycling fun, its history as well as all those riding,  cargo biking, cruiser, low rider, riding groups and valley racing. The list is endless here. Even’s admission is only $5 and kids 2 and under need not pay a cent.   $5 as well is also charged per bike show, however.

6. Dia de Portugal

Dia de Portugal mostly goes down in June. Americans who tend to trace their roots back to the land of the Portuguese come together with folks all over the world to celebrate and promote the Portuguese culture, ‘Dia de Portugal, de Camões e das Comunidades Portuguesas’.

On this day, you will get to relish Portuguese-style dishes, watch their traditional parades and a wallow in their culture as if you were one of their own. It’s a day that you’d wish that it would never end.

7. Fourth of July Members Appreciation

Am pretty sure you have heard of no one who doesn’t fall in love with fireworks. The dazzling stars we used to call them when we were kids. On this memorial occasion, All History Site members are invited to the History Park to BBQ. They can also bring along their families if they feel like to have some quality time with them. History San Jose usually organizes the event.

8. Spirit of ’45 Dance

Are you a dancing fan? Here comes your opportunity then. Sweet enough, it’s not just any other ordinary dancing. No. It’s dancing under the soothing light of the stars and the mesmerizing lights of the History Park. Oh, the songs, well, they are the hits and record-breakers of the 1940s.

This is what we can refer to as heaven brought down to earth. The experience is so comforting and addicted so as to speak. Even if you are a stiffer like some of us, don’t be bothered. You will find yourself dancing to the rhythm in no time at all.

9. San Jose Mini Maker Fair

If you don’t find this once in a blue moon event captivating, then am not exactly sure what will. On this excellent weekend, some of the prolific inventions, the innovators, creators, robots, exhibits, tinkerers, hobbyists, artists, crafters, name it, will convene at History Park for the 2nd San Jose Mini Maker Fair.

If you are a little lost and are wondering what this Mini Maker Fair is, then allow me to ease your mind. It’s part of the universal Maker Fair Network designed by MAKE Magazine. They are what are widely known as ‘Great shows on Earth.’ People from diverse ethical backgrounds and of all ages meet to show what they have and learn from others.

10. Hands-on History Days: Haunt History Park

It’s one of the events that have become a norm in these areas. It’s absolutely scare-free with the famous ‘trick-or-treating’ package involving family and friends’ events, art and craft activities as well. History San Jose Education Department in conjunction with History San Jose Affiliates will sponsor the event, and the trick-or-treating stations will also be set.

11. Tattooed & Tenacious: Inked Women in California’s History Exhibit

Men and Women from all corners usually get tattooed on this day. What attracts people most, however, is the fascinating history of the first women to be tattooed. Ever wondered where they obtained ink from? Or simple enough, who precisely were they?

Make it to the event and unveil facts pertaining the tattoo industry foremothers and much of what was happening even before the World War II. Curator Amy Cohen created one of the original art pieces. Want to hear more? Add the next happening f this event to your to-do list.

12. Heritage Holiday Champagne Tea

On this merry day, life isn’t even complicated. You get to enjoy traditionally prepared tea served with scones. Scones are not all that there is to it.
