Tokyo Disney Sea is located next to Tokyo Disneyland, but is meant to target a more grown up audience. While not forbidden to children, its rides are more suitable for adults. Some rides can be very intense, like the Tower of Terror or some of the roller coasters. It is also divided intro seven parts: Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery and American Waterfront.

Fuji Q Highlight is an amusement park located next to the Fuji Five Lakes area. It is best known for its breathtaking roller coasters and anime related attractions. The park has four main roller coasters: Fujiyama, Eejanaika, Dononpa and Takabisha. Each one of them beat some world record such as the fastest or the steepest roller coaster. Anime related attractions include rides based on the Gundam and Neon Genesis Evangelion series.

It boasts a huge roller coaster, Steel Dragon 2000, which spreads through the entire park. Nagashima Spa Land also houses hot springs and a water park with several pools and water slides. Universal Studios Japan is a large theme park in Osaka Bay. It was the first Universal Studios park built in Asia. It is divided into eight parts: Hollywood, San Francisco, New York, Waterworld, Jurrasic Park, Universal Wonderland, Amity Village and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. The attractions range from child-friendly ones to more intense ones like roller coasters. People can enjoy rides based on popular movies like Back to the Future, Terminator or Spiderman.

Hanayashiki is Japan’s oldest amusement park, located in Asakusa, Tokyo. Despite being very small and with not-so-modern attraction, it is still worth a visit. First of all, it is very interesting to see how it all started in Japan and how the first rides looked. Secondly, the views from the tall rides are amazing! You can see Asakusa from above, Tokyo Sky Tree and the Sumida River. The best views can be enjoyed around sunset.

Spa Resort Hawaiians is a water park and a hot spring facility in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture. The park is built around a Hawaiian theme – pineapple plants, tropical vegetations, girls dancing in hula costumes. The main area consists of a number of water rides such pools and water slides. The hot spring area takes its water from Yumoto Onsen and features regular pools where people have to bath naked, as well as pools where bathing with a swimsuit is allowed.

Toshimaen is an amusement park owned by the Seibu group located in Nerima, Tokyo. Even though the park is old, some interesting rides that make it worth visiting. There are three roller coasters and a water part with 25 slides and 6 pools. The park becomes particularly popular in summer when people come to enjoy the water attractions such as the lazy river, two wave pools and a surf pool.

Hakkejima is an aquarium and amusement park in Yokohama. Besides going to the aquarium and seeing all kinds of sea creatures, visitors can ride many thrilling attractions like the Blue Fall, which is a free fall from 107 meters, the Surf Coaster, a roller coaster that loops over the ocean and many others. There is also a complex where visitors can interact and take pictures next to the creatures.

Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park Sasebo, Nagasaki, which was made to resemble the Netherlands. The park has many buildings that look like those in the Netherlands, like hotels, restaurants, villas, theaters, windmills, museums and shops. There is also an area with tulips and other flowers specific to Europe. The Theme Park Zone features many rides such as a Ferris Wheel, a haunted house, a mirror maze and much more.

Other thrilling attractions include the Super LS Coaster, the Wave Swinger and the Roller Skater. Joypolis is an indoor amusement park chain that has several branches throughout Japan. The branches that are in operation at the moment are those in Tokyo, Osaka and Okayama. Various attractions can be enjoyed: roller coasters, bumper cars, 3D rides, haunted houses, UFO catchers, and much more. Edo Wonderland Ise is a theme park located in Ise Shima, Kansai, centered on the samurai era.
