4. National Museum of Nature and Science
If you love attending very interesting and educative exhibitions, National Museum of Nature and Science is the place for you. 5. Tokyo Dome
Every baseball fan out there will absolutely adore Tokyo Dome. The atmosphere created by the fans during the games is one of the kind and you have to experience it. Plenty of US baseball clubs come to this stadium as well. Tokyo Dome is often sold out, so make sure you get your tickets in advance.

6. Asakusa Shrine
Located in Taitō, Asakusa Shrine is known to tourists as the Shrine of the Three Gods. It is a part of a larger temple that surrounds this shrine. Even though the neighborhood of Asakusa was extremely damaged during the World War II, Asakusa Shrine did survive and it is still standing today.

7. Imperial Palace

Located in the center of Tokyo, Imperial Palace was built on the site where the former Edo Castle once stood. Even though the actual Palace is open for public only twice a year, you can still take a guided tour of the surrounding grounds and see the Imperial Palace walls.
8. Kabuki-za
Kabuki-za is located in Ginza and it is the leading theater for everyone who loves traditional kabuki. It opened its doors in 1889 and the building itself was reconstructed several times since then. You can find various performances almost every day at Kabuki-za so if you want to experience the real kabuki theater, you should head out to Ginza.

9. Ueno Zoo

Ueno Zoo is the oldest zoo in Japan. It is located in Taito and it was officially opened in 1882. It is fairly large but you will be able to ride a monorail from the one side of the zoo to another. Plenty of tourists come to Ueno Zoo just to see the pandas so you should head out to Ueno Zoo a bit early in order to avoid the long ticket lines.

10. Tokyo National Museum

Tokyo Midtown might be similar to Roppongi Hills but it still offers plenty of high end restaurants, shops, and boutiques. There are plenty of art galleries inside this complex as well and there is a garden adjacent to the building as well. It is a lovely place and you can spend your entire day walking through it.

12. Tokyo Sky Tree
Tokyo Sky Tree opened in 2012 and it has two observation decks that are open for tourists. When the weather is nice, you can see for a hundred kilometers in each direction. Also, the lower deck has a glass floor which is absolutely spectacular if you want to see Tokyo from a whole new perspective.

13. The Meiji Shrine
Built for Emperor Meiji and his wife, Meiji Shrine remains one of the most important religious places in the entire Tokyo. The original Meiji Shrine was destroyed during the World War II, but it was rebuilt shortly after and it is still a wonderful sacred place surrounded by beautiful nature.
