Alcudia is a municipality in the Spanish autonomous community of Balearic Islands. It is the main tourist centre in Majorca. Most of the hotels in Majorca are located in Alcudia. The total land area of Alcudia is 60.5 kilometers squared and the total population of the municipality is 3,155 as of 2013.

1. Have a swim at the beaches

Just like any other cities and municipalities in Spain, Alcudia has a lot to offer when it comes to beaches. If you are looking for a place to relax and unwind away from the busy city then going to one of the beaches have a swim or just simply have sunbath would be a great idea. Beaches to visit around Alcudia are Playa de Alcudia, Playa de Aucanada, Playa Coll Baix, and Playa de Sant Joan.

2. Experience nightlife

If you want to enjoy every minute of your visit in the municipality then why not stay awake the whole night and experience the nightlife in Alcudia? 5. Visit Beer Lovers Cerveceria

If you are in Alcudia, why not stop by into this beer manufacturer company? It has some guided tours. A tourist guide or one of the staff will be able to entertain you with lots of information about beer processing and they also have a free tasting as well with lots of beers for sale at the same time.

6. Do some scuba diving and snorkelling

Enjoy your visit at Alcudia with a unique experience of having to see the life underwater. There are a lot of places for you to book a scuba diving lesson and actually doing it. 7. Visit the Alcudia Old Town

Alcudia Old Town is a part of the city that you should really go and have a visit. This place is good for having a good time, roaming the streets, looking at the area and the fantastic architecture with small shops and cafes. The streets are full of stalls and the sidewalk is very busy as well.

8. Book some private tours

There is going to be a market in here every week during Thursdays and Sundays. 11. Play golf

If you are looking for something to do to kill your time while the family is going shopping or you just want to relax then learning or playing golf should do. There is a golf course in Alcudia at Alcanada Golf Club where you can play golf. The staff here are very friendly, you will surely enjoy your experience.

12. Visit Parroquia de Sant Jaume

You might think that this is just an ancient architecture but it’s not, it is also a cathedral. It surely worth it when you come here. The structure is very ancient that you will feel like living from the past. As you come here, you will be asked for any amount of donation you would like to help maintain and preserve the church.

13. Visit Puig de Sant Marti

If you want to get away from the busy city then doing a hiking around Puig de Sant Marti should work. The view from the summit is very spectacular totally worth the sweat you’ve just made. The hike is for about 9 miles from the old town of Alcudia but if you prefer not to hike then you can always take a private car or taxi, it should take about 45 minutes.

14. Visit Jakober Art Foundation and Gardens

If you are into art and nature then this place is the perfect for you, definitely two in one. It is a unique place with outdoor gardens and sculptures all over the area. The gallery there has histories about Europe’s kings and queens. But you need to have a car or rent a taxi because of the dirt track along the way to the Jakober Art Foundation and Gardens.

15. Rent a boat

If you want to explore the beaches around Alcudia, then renting a boat is a good way to go. You can either rent a boat privately or book a boat tour with other people. It would be a great idea to just enjoy the ocean breeze and just relax for an hour or so. There are a lot of boat rentals just around the beaches of Alcudia, you wouldn’t have trouble finding some.

16. Go to Circo Alegria

If you are with little kids or you are just simply a kid at heart then watching some of the performance in the circus. It is surely a great way to spend your vacation in Alcudia. It is a performance like no other. The show is entertaining for all age groups. Not only you will enjoy your stay at Alcudia but you will also witness the talents of locals in Alcudia.

17. Do some shopping, buy some gifts

There is no specific store that you can just go here in Alcudia for shopping for the streets around the center of the city has already almost everything that you need and would buy for yourself and for your loved ones. The stalls around the streets have many local products that are for sale, you might even get lucky, they would allow you to pay for a lower price.

18. Experience waterskiing and jetskiing

If you want to experience Alcudia along the coastline with extra fun and adrenaline then book for a waterskiing and jetskiing service. There are pretty much available one for rent in every beach that you will visit since these kinds of activities are popular not just for the tourists but also for the locals in Alcudia.

19. Learn or try surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing

Experience Alcudia in a different way by learning or trying if not all then one of these activities. 20. Visit churches

You wouldn’t want to forget the churches. Visiting churches while on vacation might be the last thing on your mind but the churches in Alcudia are very ancient and has full of great stories. It will be absolutely worth your time to visit one. The churches that you might want to visit are Iglesia St Jaume D’Alcudia – The Church of St James and Iglesia de St Pere – The Church of St Peter.
