Pasadena Humane Society offers the programs to educate the public on responsible pet possession and the benefits of spaying and neutering. Everyone, not only the animals, benefits from their service. If you would like to help animals live a more quality life without hurt and pain, to live in a warm and healthy environment, to help them love and be loved, and to part this life with dignity, then you should think about becoming a member of the Pasadena Humane Society.

1. Volunteer

If you are you an animal lover looking for a significant volunteer experience, you should consider checking in into Pasadena Humane Society. You can make a great difference in the lives of the animals under their care. At the beginning, you need to attend an informational session for an open volunteer position of your interest. You will be provided with basic knowledge about this particular position. Before you are selected to be a volunteer you may have to go on the interview or be ready to complete further training. After you fill out a general volunteer application you will attend a separate volunteer orientation. After this, you are ready to start!

2. Foster Care Program

Pasadena Humane Society provides the supplies, training, support and veterinary care for their volunteers. In the return, it is expected that volunteers provide home, care and dedication in order to save lives of the animals. Opening space in the shelters is really important. There are a few ways of how you can help these animals in need. If this is something you are interested in, you can get more info through this e-mail: foster@pasadenahumane.org.

3. Fundraising Events

There are some more ways to help. Pasadena Humane Society organizes events that connect the businesses and public that are willing to help the cause. All the funds contributed to PHS will stay locally. Participating in these events is also a fun way to turn your attention to the animals. There are five ways you can get involved in PHS Fundraising Events. You can attend, make donations, sponsor the event and get exposure (you can even become an official partner with PHS) and you can help by hosting some of these events.

4. Training Classes

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA give numerous training classes, private consultations, seminars, and specialty courses. The main goal is to strengthen the bond between the volunteers and their pets with reward-based training methods.

5. Spay Neuter in Pasadena (SNiP)

You can help fight the tragedy of pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering your cats or dogs.
PHS has a public spay/neuter clinic which offers affordable surgery for any pet cat or dog that needs it. Spay/neuter surgery makes it impossible for cats or dogs to have babies. At this point, there are not enough homes for all the pets we have and spay/neuter decreases the number of animals born that will end up in shelters or roam on the street.

6. Shelter Shop & Boarding

The Shelter Shop is the onsite retail store. All profits from the Shelter Shop stay at PHS to help support the animal care programs. So what you spend at the Shelter Shop, stays there for further help. There are a variety of high-quality foods, toys, collars, and other pet products at competitive prices. Plus, they offer discounts for adopters, PHS volunteers, military, and seniors. If you are heading out for a long weekend or an extended holiday, there is a nice solution to this. The Pasadena Humane Society offers reasonably priced dog boarding.

7. Make a gift

Every year more than 12,000 animals find their way into the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA. Many are in need of shelter, food, and medical care. Some of them are lost and waiting to rejoin their families. Your gift will allow them to treat each animal with the kindness and care they deserve.
