Shin-Yokohama Ramen Museum started in March of 1994. It is the pioneer of food amusement park all over the world. Since ramen is a Japanese tradition and can be found almost everywhere in Japan, the food-themed museums were made possible to serve as the place where visitors can enjoy the different flavors of ramen. It is a 3- story museum. Shops and museum are on the ground floor and 2 basement floors are where you can try the different types of ramen.
1.Different Ramen Shops
Ramen is a favorite Japanese food and Shin-Yokohama museum offers different flavors of ramen. There is a total of 9 ramen restaurants that you can try and each ramen house features a special ramen from each region of Japan. The ramen shops are operated by owners of well-known ramen bars from all over Japan.
2. Shokken
Since there are a variety of ramen that you can try, each store decided to have a mini ramen so that visitors can try as many ramen flavor that they can. Tickets for the ramen are bought from the food vending machines or shokken that you can found at the entrance of each ramen store. Each ramen is sold at an average of 800-1200 yen for regular size and for 500-750 yen for mini ramen.
3. Dagashi-ya on Yu-yake Shoten
It is an old fashion shop that will bring back your childhood memories. Dagashi-ya on Yu-yake Shoten or Sunset Shopping Street is a store that will bring excitement to children and even adults. Candies, lollipops, chocolates, and toys are some of the things that you can buy from this store.
4. Replica of Shitamachi
Those who were born in this generation can only imagine how old Japan looks like by reading the description from a book or perhaps the internet. The basement of Shin Yokohama ramen is a replica of Shitamachi or the old town of Tokyo. Street scenes from the past have been recreated well.
5. Ra-Haku TV

Ra-Haku TV is an internet based television programs that were shot and edited by the ramen museum. All the programs will give you an idea as to the importance of ramen, how ramens originated and its influence with the Japanese tradition and how ramen has been popular not just in Japan but the entire globe.
