Valldemossa is a village and municipality located on the island of Majorca, a part of Balearic Islands. Valldemossa has been promoted as a place of outstanding beauty with an area of 16.6 kilometers squared and a population of approximately 2,025 people.

1. Do Paragliding

There is no other way of exploring the village and municipality in an extreme and adventurous ride of paragliding. A tandem paragliding from Madventure would be great. It costs about more or less $186USD. They will also give you videos and pictures from your ride which is a really great way to keep the memorable experience.

2. Have a walk in the old town

The old town of Valldemossa is very vintage with narrow cobbled steep streets. Having a walk in the area is like experiencing the old times at the very moment. But you have to be aware that during Sundays, there will be a market along the streets so parking would be difficult but will still be worthwhile.

3. Visit museums

There are various museums in the are but Valldemossa is famous because of the Royal Charterhouse of Valldemossa that is built during the 14th century, that is now a museum. You can still visit other museums as well that shows early Spanish culture such as Palacio del Rey Sancho and Museo Municipal.

4. Taste the local food or visit the restaurants

Of course you wouldn’t resist having a taste of their local dishes. The best restaurants to dine in are QuitaPenas Valldemossa, Casa de sa Miranda, Es Roquissar, Es Port and Troya Restaurante. The place is best known for barbeques and sausages with different kinds of herbs.

5. Visit churches and other religious sites

Santa Catalina or Saint Catherine in English is the patron saint of Mallorca island. If you want to know more about her, then visit Santa Catalina Thomas reservoir. You can also see her plaques along the street houses in Valldemossa. San Bartolome Church and Valldemossa Charter house are also good places to visit.

6. Relax by the beach

Valldemossa is just over a mile from the coast and there are a couple of quiet and relaxing beaches in the area which are just a short distance from town. Going to Valldemossa Bay or the pebble beach of Cala Sa Marina is a great idea if you want to unwind and relax. Having a quick swim or a sunbathe would be a great idea too.

7. Attend Chopin Festival

Chopin festival is a musical festival in Valldemossa. During this festival, the Cloister of the Monastery award-winning pianists in Warsaw Chopin Competition will have the time to play their piece. Important painters, sculptors, artists, ceramicists, and photographers will be able to exhibit their works during the festival along with t-shirts, and designed posters.

8. Visit Royal Carthusian Monastery

If you love Chopin, then this is the perfect place for you. He used to live in this place as well. There are also a lot of wonderful artifacts. If you want to feel like you are one of the people from ages ago, then this is a go to. An organised tour of the museum would be recommended to avoid queuing.

9. Have a hike

If you are that person that loves outdoors, nature and hiking trails, then this is the perfect place for you to visit in Valldemossa. The Archduke Way is a hiking trail over an interesting terrain for about four to five hours. This is a great way to enjoy your vacation, being fit and having fun at the same time.

10. Experience sunset in Puerto de Valldemossa

If you want to have a quiet, charm and romantic experience, then go to Puerto de Valldemosa and experience the sunset along with the narrow cobble stone streets with plenty of flowers along the way. You can stop by at Can Mario restaurant to have dinner after watching the magical sunset as well.
